10th Kyu - White Belt...
The Journey Begins

Within the Budokan Dojo every student shall begin with no apparent belt allowed to be worn around their waist. Each student starts their journey this exact same way to remind us that in the martial arts every single thing must be earned. The 10th Kyu is awarded rather quickly but only after the student has demonstrated the following abilities:

Etiquette and Traditions
   1. Demonstrates pride in their Gi (uniform) - keeps it cleaned and hemmed.
   2. Properly ties the Obi (belt) and has etiquette with it
   3. Respects all Senior Level Students
   4. Listens Attentively During Classes

Blocking Techniques
   1.  Down Block
   2.  Rising Block

Hand Strikes
   1.  Front Punch
   2.  Reverse Punch

   3.  Back Leg Round House Kick 

Self Defense Training - Level 1 Defense
   1.  Straight Wrist Grab
   2.  Double Wrist Grab 

Other Requirements as per Sensei assignment
   1.  Proper Attendance for classes (2 per week at this level minimum)
   2.  Proper Academic Progress for Elementary, Middle, High School and College Level
   3.  Self Discipline / Self Restraint Understanding in terms of Martial Art Skill Use
